Montana residents seek medical attention each year due to issues related to drugs and alcohol

Since 2019, SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) report that rates of addiction in the United States have doubled. In the state of Montana, drug addiction and alcoholism impact one in eight residents.

What’s even more disturbing than such high rates of addiction are such low percentages of people engaging with treatment. It is estimated that 75% of U.S. adults who needed evidence-based addiction treatment failed to obtain any form of help.

Substance abuse hotlines serve many functions. One vital role is connecting those who require drug addiction or alcoholism treatment with a variety of treatment providers nearby in Montana. An addiction hotlines helps connect people with treatment and resources rather than acting as a substitute.
